Warranty Terms for Frescopunk Standard Tiles

1. Warranty provider and scope

The warranty is provided by the specialist contractor selected during checkout and identified as the seller in the order confirmation and invoice.

The warranty applies exclusively to the original private purchaser of non-configurable standard tiles purchased through the Frescopunk online shop. Its territorial scope is Germany.

2. Warranty period and coverage

This voluntary warranty is valid for one year from the date of purchase. The purchase date stated in the order confirmation shall apply.

It covers manufacturing defects in the supplied tiles that were already present at the time of delivery and become apparent within the warranty period.

3. Inspection before installation

For the purposes of this voluntary warranty, the tiles must undergo a normal visual inspection before installation. Particular attention must be paid to visible damage, conformity with the order and any irregularities in colour, surface finish and dimensions.

Identifiable defects must be reported to the warranty provider before installation. The affected tiles must not be installed until the matter has been clarified.

Defects that were identifiable before installation are excluded from this additional warranty once the tiles have been installed.

4. Latent defects and exclusions

After installation, the warranty covers only latent manufacturing defects. A defect is considered latent if it could not be identified during a normal visual inspection before installation and only becomes apparent within the warranty period.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear arising from use or damage caused by:

  • improper use, handling or care;

  • unsuitable cleaning products;

  • excessive mechanical or chemical exposure;

  • incorrect installation or an unsuitable substrate.

These exclusions apply insofar as the respective cause is responsible for the reported damage.

Colour, texture and dimensional variations typical of the product do not constitute a warranty claim, provided they comply with the stated product characteristics and the contractually agreed quality.

5. Warranty remedies

In the event of a manufacturing defect covered by this warranty, the warranty provider shall, at its discretion, supply replacement tiles free from defects or refund the purchase price paid for the affected tiles.

The warranty remedy is limited to the affected tile material. Removal, reinstallation and other consequential costs are not covered by this voluntary warranty.

6. Claims and inspection

Defects must be reported to the warranty provider using the specified contact details as soon as reasonably possible after discovery. Notification by email is sufficient.

The notification must include proof of purchase and a description of the reported defect. Photographs and product and batch information should be provided for assessment where available.

The warranty provider must be given an opportunity to inspect the affected tiles. Their removal or replacement must be agreed with the warranty provider in advance.

7. Statutory rights

The consumer’s statutory rights in respect of defects remain unaffected by this warranty. These rights may be exercised free of charge, including where the requirements of this warranty are not met or the warranty period has already expired.

8. Returns under warranty

Returns under this warranty must be agreed in advance with the warranty provider. The relevant information in the withdrawal policy applies to the return address and shipping procedure, unless otherwise agreed for the individual warranty claim.
